HIGHLAND COUNTY DEER IS A NEW STATE RECORD

DAYTON, OH The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife announced that another record setting deer has been harvested in southwestern Ohio.�The 18-point nontypical (nonsymmetrical antlered) deer taken by Brian Stephens on Nov. 30, 2009 with a muzzleloader in Highland County was officially scored on Jan. 30 in Dayton, OH.

On November 30, 2009, I shot and killed a buck of a lifetime. I killed this 20 point at Lansing Sportsmen Club, where I have been a member for eight years.
The first time this deer was spotted was three and a half years ago. My neighbors have a deer feeder and a trail camera set up across from their house.
