May 4, 2017
Ohio Valley Outdoors

YANKEE LAKE, OH - Whitetails Unlimited Inc., in conjunction with the Trumbull County

Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs and the Trumbull County Tourism Bureau, will hold its 16th annual 60 Plus Gun Raffle at the Yankee Lake Ballroom on May 6 (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.). Doors open at 10 a.m. with the first drawing at 11 a.m. sharp.

For a donation of $20, sportsmen can purchase a ticket for a chance to win a quality firearm or other prizes. At least 60 firearms will be raffled off with one pulled every four minutes throughout the event. The purchase of a ticket includes buffet luncheon and beverages. Winners need not be present. Tickets can be purchased at Gander Mountain in Niles or Fin, Feather and Fur in Boardman. They also can be purchased at the door before 11 a.m. the day of the event.

In addition to the 60 Plus Gun raffle, the Sportsmen's Clubs will hold individual drawings throughout the event for additional firearms, outdoor excursions, trips to Africa and many other exciting offers.

"This event has sold over 6,000 tickets and raised over $200,000 dollars annually for Conservation and Shooting Sports in the Mahoning Valley," says Dennis Malloy, Jr., one of the event's planners and field director for five states with Whitetails Unlimited. "With better odds, affordably priced tickets and a lot more prizes, we expect to have a much bigger crowd this year."

The Trumbull County Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs comprises 17 sportsmen's clubs throughout northeast Ohio. Event proceeds will benefit local nonprofit organizations and provide funding for firearm safety and educational classes for youth sportsmen.
